In Blizzard's most recent World of Warcraft expansion reveal livestream

World of Warcraft: Classic servers were announced in the year 2019 following years of WoW community raising their concerns to experience the game's history. While Blizzard was reluctant to release on this request, the classic version would return to the MMO to its original state on launch day offering players of all ages a chance to revisit the previous days and providing new players an insight into WoW's history. The classic version that included the initial World of Warcraft expansion The Burning Crusade, was launched in 2022. to build on the old experience.

In Blizzard's most recent World of Warcraft expansion reveal livestream, the next installment in WoW Classic's roadmap, Wrath of the Lich King was unveiled and provided with a brand new trailer to make fans ready to return to the game's most loved expansion ever. The 2008 expansion was revealed to be released later in the year, and it will return in its original state - for the most part. Blizzard announced that they will eliminate the dungeon-finder one of the systems that is believed was a key reason for the game's declining popularity as well as to enhance unity within the game. Blizzard will also be making some minor changes in order to reflect their views on social and inclusiveness which include making barbershops in the game (where one could change aspects of their appearance for example, gender) cost in-game currency , instead of real monetization.

One big change coming in the coming release of WoW: Classic is how players currently on The Burning Crusade servers will switch to Wrath of the Lich King. Unlike The Burning Crusade's launch where players had the option to remain in vanilla WoW or switch to The Burning Crusade, all players are now required to transfer into Wrath of the Lich King. After making the switch into Wrath of the Lich King players can expect to enjoy all of its zones, achievement, raids, and , of course that is the Death Knight class.

This announcement for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (Classic) came just after the release of WoW's retail latest expansion, Dragonflight. Dragonflight will transport players to the long-forgotten Dragon Isles and will feature several new additions being made to the game's systems along with new zones, a brand new class and race playable, a new story adventure and some more to be disclosed.
