Making Home Affordable Program And Foreclosure Process

The Obama Administrations Making Home Affordable Program (HAMP) includes opportunities to modify or refinance your mortgage to make your monthly payments more affordable. It also includes the Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives Program for homeowners who are interested in a short sale or deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. Successful HAMP application results in a reduction of the monthly mortgage payment (known as PITI; ie,Longchamp Hong Kong, principle, interest, taxes and insurance) to 31% of the monthly gross income of the homeowner.

Upon the approval of the HAMP application, the lender allows the homeowner to post the modified PITI for a three months trial period. Upon the completion of the trial period the modification should become final. However, it can take up to a year until the prospective lender actually provides the homeowner with the final mortgage modification agreement. HAMP application can be submitted the lender any time and, in most the events, the lender will consider it until the homeowner defaults in his mortgage payment for at least three months.
There is certain formula suggested by FDIC most of the lenders use to evaluate the HAMP applications. Same formula is being used by the court officers and appointed mediators to evaluate the mortgage modification requested submitted during the foreclosure cases.
