no more drama and bickering

A neighborhood group is working to pull more than 70 parcels of land from Damascus. Jim Syring told the City Council that he and his neighbors are going to apply to de-annex their land and then work to annex into Happy Valley, which borders them. The land would be the square boxed in by Vogel, Foster, Troge roads and the border of Happy Valley, which is 172nd Avenue. Most of the parcels are about 2 acres, but some are as large as 13 acres. "We have been very supportive and active with the city of Damascus planning effort over the past eight years, but we have run out of patience and are beginning the initial process at this time to de-annex our properties," Syring said. Syring said Happy Valley officials told him it would be easy for the landowners to annex into their city,guccibagsdiscount.webs.com, especially because they are on the border. "We feel it is in the best interest of our entire neighborhood group for many reasons including a lower city tax rate, better services, a current comprehensive plan, no more drama and bickering, and overall a better future for our children," Syring said.
